I recently had tickets to a show at the Lensic, Santa Fe’s Performing Arts Center and one of my favorite venues in the world. Built in 1931 a block west of the Santa Fe Plaza, the Lensic was initially a movie theater, and according to the website, “a place for a first kiss in the balcony, a grand silver screen in the midst of the Depression, a vaudeville venue where the community could see the singers, actors, dancers and comedians of the day.
