As former residents of the area, we enjoyed our ten day stay here. The casita is small but very well-designed, functional and comfortably furnished. It is quiet and private and a short walk to Ft. Marcy Park, if you have a pet or child. It was nice to be able to go places on foot rather than driving. The property is relatively new and pet-friendly, and has that Santa Fe style guests are seeking, along with contemporary conveniences. There is a short unpaved walk from the open parking to the unit which might be a little tricky in winter weather or if you have a lot of stuff to carry. The walk to the downtown area and plaza is easy and accessible. Check in is easy, and we felt very safe there; cleanliness and supplies were very thoughtful. Thank you to everyone who made our visit a very relaxing one in one of Santa Fe’s nicest small Eastside neighborhoods. There is no view from the unit but amazing views walking or driving the gentle hills local terrain. There is a small outdoor living area to enjoy with fireplace. No grass. Our small dog was very happy. Comfortable bed. Would stay again for a short visit.

Lovely luxury condo in an excellent location

It was lovely from the first view of the gate. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. Gorgeous tile work with distinctive touches. We were, however, stumped by the zonal HVAC controls. Staff was helpful, there in a jif to personally provide a demo. Even the neighbors were friendly and nice!

Hi Robin so glad you enjoyed your stay in Santa Fe and thank you for the kind words. We hope to see you back in New Mexico! The Two Casitas Team.

Recommend having a luggage rack in place instead of having to work out of your suitcase on the floor. Also, the bed is VERY high and hard to get into unless you are a tall person. Recommend supplying a step stool of some kind to assist.

Nice place but pretty small

This was a great casita, just a little small for 2 couples. Great location and wonderful decor.

Response from Two Casitas

Thank you for the review! This home is relatively small, so we encourage guests to check out the Virtual Tour to see if the size will be adequate for their party. We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon

Decent experience

We enjoyed the property but felt that it was definitely more dated and had a unimpressive outdoor space relative to the cost and the portrayal in photographs.

Response from Two Casitas

Thank you for the review! We don't believe that the pictures are misleading, but I am going to push the owner to consider updating interior items and addressing outdoor space as well.

Beautiful house in perfect location

Look no further, this property has it all: everything you need to cook, bake, play, or relax, right in the center of town where you can walk to the farmers’ market (one of the top in the nation) or any of the many charming stores and historic buildings. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house that feels much more like a home than an impersonal rental; We only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!

Clean, Historic home in the heart of Santa Fe

We spent a weekend at this house with 5 ladies. It was perfect! Clean with a historic layout and decor. We loved it! We could have fit 6 people comfortably. 8 would have been a little tough but there are pull out couches. This house was perfect for us! Very easy to check in and out!

Hospitality, Location & Comfort all in one

Susan, the owner of the property, met us upon our arrival and gave us just the right amount of attention. She had stopped by to make sure everything was ready for our arrival---even the special touches of soft music and candlelight. Her artwork graces the walls and the interior has some beautiful details. The beds are even comfortable! The one and only drawback is it is a tad close to the road, but the road is mostly quiet at night. This place is as close to perfection as it comes!

Perfect for us (and great rental company)

We really loved this unit and the location, which is about 5 miles north of Santa Fe, in the hills above the village of Tesuque. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The unit is very comfortable and quite private with fabulous views from the lovely patios. ( we could see for miles. Could see the opera, etc.) The unit is nestled in a small condominium community. The two-unit condo clusters are nicely spread out with mature plantings, so you feel like you are off on your own. It does not feel like (and isn't) a condo "complex". There is a lovely pool for the small community. We were here for 6 days and went to the pool every afternoon with our kids (10 and 14). Often had it to ourselves. It was fabulous. The pool also has a ping pong table, which was fun.

Our Unit was a 2br/2ba unit. The living room is very tastefully furnished and has an updated sofa. The bedroom furniture is not updated, but is simple and functional with plenty of room for clothes storage. The bathrooms are also not updated, but they are clean and functional. The kitchen is small and has an updated fridge and dishwasher. We really appreciated that the owner/property manager has left/provided high quality coffee along with other basics like coffee filters, sugar, salt and pepper, spices, foil, plastic wrap, etc. Makes such a difference to not have to buy those things for a short stay!

The kitchen was fine for making breakfast, lunch and a couple of simple (basic) dinners. (It would not work as well for more serious cooking, but that was not our priority!) The unit could use a few more plates, mugs and glasses......

There are two good restaurants in the village of Tesuque: Tesuque Village Market and El Nido. We went to both several times!

We have to give a special shout out to the property managers.
The Two Casitas team was really great. From providing confirmations and check-in information, to immediately providing a new coffee maker when we found that ours was broken, they were fantastic. They also leave guests with a bottle of wine, along with tortilla chips and local salsa. We would absolutely look to rent either this property or another one that is run by them.

The only thing we would suggest is that it would be nice to have two keys for the unit.

Santa Fe charm in a great location!

We had never been to Santa Fe before, and we really wanted to stay somewhere with character. This house was exactly what we were looking for! It is a really cute house, decorated beautifully. We were close to shops, restaurants, and art galleries. We enjoyed the house and the yard very much. The open living space was wonderful! We are a family of four and we were all very comfortable in this house. We hope to get back to Santa Fe and we would definitely rent this house again!

Fabulous 2 bedroom casita in downtown Santa Fe!

3 Senior-ish women visited this casita in August 14-18 during the Indian Market. We attended several operas, a cooking course at Santa Fe Cooking school and had a fabulous experience at this Casita. Everything was beautiful with lovely touches, flowers, a bottle of wine, coffee and lots of amenities that made for an easy visit. We could walk every where in this safe neighbourhood. The opera shuttle was a 10 minute walk away at the El Dorado. We would stay again in a heartbeat. The owner, Sue, a lovely artist, dropped off flowers upon our arrival! Thank you 2 Casitas Cathy

Only one complaint............

Longtime VRBO renter. Have never been displeased with a VRBO property. This home is no exception...........however, full-size bed in master bedroom is disappointment vs typical Queen or King, compounded by fact contour sheet was too small for mattress, becoming disengaged at corners with each rollover. Otherwise, property was as-advertised. Positioning of hot tub was excellent, sitting above house with view of nearby mountains. Full moon rising over mountain peak offered exceptional photo op on clear nights. Had full-grown deer cross patio. Distance from Plaza did not present obstacle worthy of complaint. Appliances like new. No air conditioner, but not absolutely necessary, even on hottest week of year (love that Santa Fe summer weather!). Also no TV in master bedroom---while perhaps unusual, not a deal-breaker for us. Would rent home again without reservation.

Response from Two Casitas

Thank you for the review! Regarding the beds, both of them were queen-sized, but the daybed in the den was a full. The primary bed has now been upgraded to a California King, and there is a Queen sleeper in the den. I'm not sure where the confusion occurred here, but we apologize if anything did not meet your expectations. We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.

Place was very nice, well equipped and convenient to everything.

Great well-stocked home!

We loved our stay and the home was very well taken care of.
Very comfortable.
Just two small observations, because the home is allowing pets and we are both very allergic we became effected from the bed blankets in two rooms.
Not only the sheets but also the blankets need solid cleaning each time.
Second, the blinds in the master bedroom did not open.
Also we found the house somewhat dark.

Response from Two Casitas

Thank you for the review! We have begun to take extra steps with our cleaning staff to remove pet hair from every part of the home, and have raised our pet fees as a result. Hopefully this will no longer be an issue. We have also repaired the blinds. I will speak to the owner about acquiring some extra lighting for this home. We hope to see you in Santa Fe again some time soon.
