LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Two Casita's!!

My husband & I just loved staying at the beautiful historical Tecolote Casita. It was like being in a custom Santa Fe Style adobe home with custom furnishings that were top of the line. The home was very quite and peaceful, but close to everything that was happening ...... Restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. I must say that the beds were really comfy which is hard to find in most luxury hotels. We loved the fact that we had off street parking. The fireplace was a cozy place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner on the Plaza. Why stay at a hotel when you can have your own private home to enjoy! Can't wait to return. See you in February to celebrate my Husband's birthday! Wendy, thanks for the bottle of wine...nice personal touch and quite a wonderful surprise!! We have been coming for over 12 years now & wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!!

Lovely Spacious Home with Large Courtyard Privacy

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderfully private upscale home close in to Canyon Road and the Plaza. We cooked many meals in the gourmet kitchen and had everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal. The house easily accommodated three other friends. We all loved the radiant heated floors and cozy atmosphere provided by use of the fireplace. The master suite was especially comfortable! We took many wonderful walks up past St. John's College to hike in the hills around the college. We had a few property issues during our 42 day stay, and these were quickly and efficiently taken care of. We definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives.

Magical family vacation in Santa Fe

Nice as they are, the photos of Tecolote don't do the place justice. It's beautifully and tastefully decorated--and is also very homey and comfortable. My eleven-year-old niece walked in and said "Wow, it's beautiful!" And I agree. I would love to return in warm weather so we could use the gorgeous second-floor deck and the outdoor space on the ground floor.

We spent Christmas week there and enjoyed quite a few home-cooked meals, thanks to the well-equipped kitchen. There were six adults and two older children who slept on air mattresses in their parents' bedroom. It was a little bit crowded with all eight of us but it worked--it would be perfect for three couples.

The parking is a little tight but luckily we are all very good at parking and were able to fit an SUV and a Prius into the provided spot. It would be perfect for one vehicle.

The location was wonderfully convenient--a quick walk to the plaza but far enough away from the tourist areas to feel peaceful. A slightly longer but pleasant walk to the Railyard District and the all-important REI store there.

On Christmas Eve, we walked to Canyon Road for the farolito walk, which made it very convenient. Plus it was beautiful to walk through all the lights of the plaza on our way. Very festive.

The neighborhood is really cute, too.

All in all, a wonderful place to spend a week.

Dear Kit,
I am so happy you had such a "magical" xmas with your family in Santa Fe. It truly is an amazing place to me at the holiday time. I am also pleased of course that you too the time to sit down and write such a lovely review. I think the house is incredible too. So authentic. THe owner did such a nice job furnishing it.We have only had this house in our inventory of fine homes for less than a year and the verdict seems to be out already. "Lets come back next year" Thanks so much for staying with Two Casitas.

Santa Fe style at its finest!

Love, Love, Love...
Tranquility is a lovely home decorated in an artsy, eclectic and comfy style. It's the perfect size for two couples or a family. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with new appliances and plenty of cookware. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are ridiculously comfortable.
From this location it's a bit of a walk to Canyon Road and an easy drive to anywhere else. We explored the plaza, museums, went skiing and took a day trip to Taos Pueblo. Lots to see and do in the Santa Fe area and if a private home is what you're looking for, don't hesitate on this one.

An authentic Santa Fe find.

We loved our Christmas stay at Casa Bonita. The location was ideal for walking along Canyon Road and to the Plaza. We hardly used our car! Loved the little coffee house across the street. The house was wonderfully cozy and more than roomy enough for two. It had everything we needed for a truly relaxing, comfortable stay. Great kitchen, big bathroom, nice fireplace. It felt like a home. I look forward to returning in warmer weather so I can enjoy the little courtyard as well. If you are looking for an authentic Santa Fe experience, Bonita is a great find. My only note of caution is the parking. Our small SUV fit in the narrow carport, but a large SUV may not and parking on the street can be challenge. But that said, I highly recommend this place.

Cozy casita with a great location

My family of 4 loved our stay at the Bonita house. We had originally wanted a 2 bedroom house but as none were available we booked this. The house looks exactly as it is pictured on the website and was very clean and well maintained. We brought an air mattress as you never know how the pull out couch is going to be. We needn't have worried as it was by far the best sleeper sofa they have slept on. It was very comfortable. The house was roomy and we loved having a kitchen and a washer and dryer. I was worried that the house would not be warm enough but there were 3 heaters throughout the house and it was very toasty. The location is perfect and we walked to several restaurants including the Kakawa chocolate house, the Pink Adobe and Mucho Gusto. We also walked to Canyon Rd which was only a block away. We skied 2 days and the drive was beautiful and easy to do. We loved the sky lights and private courtyard as well. At the beginning of the trip we went to Albertsons and loaded up on groceries and it was nice to come back after a long day and have what we needed. The only thing we wanted for was extra chairs at the table so we could all 4 sit down at the same time. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay. I loved being able to have a worry free check in and departure. The key was waiting for me as promised. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Thanks for the wine and great memories!

Casa Puerta del Sol was very nice

The home was very nice but a bit too small for our 8 adults and 1 child. Our newly married grandson ended up getting a small cabin close by. The home was beautifully decorated. Living area could have been a bit larger. Very clean and good beds and bathrooms. Would recommend to friends and may use it again.
Santa Fe is beautiful. Excellent shopping, skiing, gambling, restaurants and snow in the winter. Home was a bit too far to walk to Plaza unless you are a walker.
Overall experience was good.

Lovely casita in the heart of Santa Fe

I cannot say enough about that darling Bonita casita ... everything was perfect! , The reservation process - your website was excellent and easy to use. Because I was coming with my dogs I thought I would need to deal with someone directly but it turned out not to be the case! One of the better websites I have used for lodging reservations!

And when I arrived at Bonita - what a cute casita with everything I could need to be right at home! Such a great convenient location ... and I loved having that little enclosed courtyard - especially with the dogs. Thank you for the welcoming bottle of wine! The house warmed up quickly that first night and stayed quite comfortable - I was able to adjust the temperature down during the day. I appreciated the very quick response from you and the plumber when the hot water did not work.

My only complaint (and not for you) is the amount of traffic on that narrow Acequia Madre when I was walking the dogs!! Yikes! Fortunately most (but not all) drivers are used to being careful ....

I always appreciate finding a place that will let me bring my dogs ... so I try to leave everything in good shape. Hopefully that was the case ... that except for some dog hair (!) you found everything as it should be.

Many thanks - and definitely I will choose Two Casitas when I return to Santa Fe!

Wow! Thank you. I love my guests. I am so happy the house worked out so well for you and your pooch.

Relaxing fall in Santa Fe

We arrived after dark to the one bedroom casita we rented online. When we realized that property had not been cleaned I called Two Casitas , as we have stayed in their properties on two prior occasions and had only good experiences. We found out our reservation had been misplaced in a computer software change. They immediately offered another rental property to us.
That home is amazing. It is beautifully decorated It has three bedrooms with comfortable beds, two baths, one with a jacuzzi tub, full furnished kitchen, fireplace, private balcony upstairs and fenced porch at the back entry. There are two flat scene tvs , wifi and washer and dryer. There is also off the street parking.
We were able to walk easily to the plaza and along Alameda to enjoy the colorful leaves. This is a great house for any stay in Santa Fe. We appreciated the service of Two Casitas and we won't hesitate to rent from them again.

Hi Repeat Guest. Thank you so much for rolling with the punches with that human error that can happen. Although very very occasionally with our biz. Its not how I like to operate ever and I think I was more upset about the house not being cleaned that you. I am so happy you liked the Tecolote house. It is new to our inventory and I love it as well. That you are happy with us despite the error says as much about you if not more than me.Thanks so much for coming back to stay with Two Casitas.,

Outstanding Family Get-together

We agree with all the great reviews. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well located not far from the Plaza, groceries and conveniences, but far enough to enjoy privacy, quiet and spectacular panoramic views. There were 11 of us, with our kids, spouses and grandkids. The house divided up nicely, with plenty of space to gather for meals inside or out, or find quiet time when needed. Just about every appliance we could think of could be found in one of the two kitchens. Our only glitch was that we were not told that the "exercise room" was under renovation at the time of our visit and was unavailable. Some of the beds in the bedrooms were not as described in the listing, so we had to make sleeping adjustments. However, the owners were apologetic and willing to compensate us fairly for the inconvenience. Overall I'd still rate this house as 5-star. It's a beautiful property.

Response from Two Casitas

Thank you for the review! We're glad that you enjoyed our home overall. The renovations in the exercise room are now complete, and we have double-checked the bed setup description to ensure its accuracy. All guests should consider that the King beds in this home can be split into Twins, and you must notify Two Casitas about how you would like them set up before your arrival.

Mother's 75th Birthday, with her daughters. 4 people total.

Started with a little hiccup with the Casita not being ready when we arrived, but after a late lunch and some shopping, it was ready to go and very clean. It looked exactly like the photos on the web. Close to everything and in a very quiet neighborhood. I wouldn't say it's an easy walk to the square but diffidently doable. The only complaint we had was with the master bedroom mattress, on the right side there was a deep indention. Guess it might not matter if it was a couple sleeping in it, one could move to the middle. But, it was two sisters sleeping together, didn't like snuggling when we were little, not working in our 50's either. We didn't cook, but there is a nice farmers market on Tuesday and Saturday next to the railroad station, also some shops. In the same area we had a good lunch at Tomasita's. We also ate lunch at Cafe Pasqual and it too was good, just a little pricey. We did take a day trip to The Ghost Ranch about an hour northwest of SF, great views and hikes. If you're into lavender, there is a place before you get to GR that grows and sell all things lavender. I would recommend this Casita to anyone without small children, due to small courtyards. No open spaces for kids to play.

Outstanding

The house was just perfect and super comfortable for my month long sabbatical. It was outfitted with quality beds, towels and linens. The kitchen had good cookware and dishes but was also stocked with spices and little necessities like Saran Wrap and tin foil. A bottle of wine and coffee greeted me upon arrival - how perfect was that?!

What little items I needed during my stay were quickly attended to by the realtor who was pleasant and responsive.

The two suggestions I might leave with you is to add more comfortable outdoor seating. The existing ground level table and chairs are very attractive but hard as a rock and without any back support. And in spite of local lore that there are no bugs in Santa Fe, there were a fair amount of flies. Screens on the windows would have been nice.

All-in-all, a great, comfortable property that I would highly recommend.

Hi Traveler,

I was so glad to get a chance to meet you a couple of times while you were here. You and your family seemed wonderful the short time we had. I love this house. Being the most recent of our Two Casitas inventory, I am so glad you loved the house as well. You were brave to rent this house sight unseen just based on our conversation and looking at my web site. No photos taken yet when you reserved. Thanks for your trust in us. So happy it worked out.I will pass on the issues you had with the house to the owner as well. Thanks for pointing theses out.See you next time.

Quiet, lovely place

My husband and 3 small dogs took a break from our RV to stay at this lovely house. Wendy was incredibly helpful with our last minute request. The neighborhood is quiet but nice restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The house had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable; there were fluffy towels; and a well-stocked kitchen. We would absolutely stay again.

Excellent stay in a beautiful home!

We so enjoyed our stay in this lovely Santa Fe condo! The home totally lived up to our expectations.
Both bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was amazing, even though we didn't cook as there are so many great restaurants in Santa Fe! We loved the artwork, the furniture, fireplace and everything else. I would not hesitate to recommend it and also should mention how close it is to historic Santa Fe. You can easily walk there. We hope to be back in the area in the future and would happily stay here again or at another property managed by Tow Casitas

Just hanging out together

Four brothers and sisters plus spouses (eight in total) enjoyed this delightful home for a five day reunion.
The home is located close to many great restaurants, museums, beautiful views and all in walking distance. Wether playing cards at the roomy kitchen family room table or lounging in front of the large television this home is very comfortable. We enjoyed talking and reminising in the private enclosed back patio area, while enjoying the afternoon sunshine. The master bedroom allows for different interests in evening television viewing with a second area with ample gathering space. Shopping area's for both cooking at home or finding that special piece of native art, jewelry or clothing again in walking distance or a quick hop in your mode of transportation. We will be scattering to many different parts of the country and all will be recommending this home for an enjoyable stay. The description of this home and emenities are accurate and there to be enjoyed. We all came away with fond memories of our stay.

Spectacular Home for a Crowd

We are ten women who gathered to celebrate fifty years of friendship. One gal lives locally and was able to visit our eight potential rentals researched on websites. Pinon House was a clear first choice. We definitely concur with the other reviews. Listed below are a few additional comments: (1) complete website pictures of the bedrooms with accurate captions eliminating guessing or unwelcome surprises such a bunk beds, futons, or blow up beds, (2) owners who are responsive both to rental inquiries and to the prompt return of the security deposit, (3) courteous local staff providing answers to our few questions and the quick resolution of one minor maintenance problem - a "chirping" smoke detector, (4) a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the plaza which reduced parking hassles, (5) very spacious dining tables both indoors and outdoors, (6) the nanny apartment is really a wing of the main house rather than a detached cassita, which kept our group connected, and finally (7) Pinon House feels like a home rather than a rental unit. The artwork and collectibles enhance the unique Santa Fe experience.

Family Thanksgiving Reunion Celebration

Our family met in Santa Fe for a family reunion and Thanksgiving celebration. We stayed at the Pinon House and everybody fell in love with the house! It is a rare experience when the actual house or facility exceeds the pictures and description, but the Pinon house does - The house is beautiful and exquistely decorated! The view from the house is breathtaking! The house is easy to find and very close to many of the main attractions in Santa Fe! We would be glad to stay at the house again if and when we have the opportunity to do so. We highly recommend this house to anyone considering a stay! You will not be disappointed.
